There are times that cables just can't be cost effectively run to places that door control is needed. These might be in certain types of building construction or with remote buildings in remote locations. We have a wireless option just for these circumstances.

Wireless Door Control Options
We have a new system that allows you to control up to eight locks from any connected computer of smart phone.
| |
We have a larger wireless system that uses battery operated lock/readers, and a PDA to program them.
| |
These battery operated door controllers can be retrofitted into doors with a variety of existing door hardware styles.

If local power is available, we can install a standard wired door system but with wireless computer control.
| |
How does the larger system work?
The way the wireless option works, is you start by adding the users credentials, including valid entry times, what doors are allowed and door unlock times into the software.
After you entered the data into the computer, you then push the "Load to PDA" arrow in the software screen. This loads the data into a buffer waiting for the PDA to take it.
The next step is to either plug the PDA into the computers USB port or to place it into an optional PDA cradle.
Next, hit the "HOT SYNC" button on either the computer of the PDA to load the data into the PDA.
Then you walk up to the door, point the PDA at the door controller and hit the connect button on the PDA. This downloads all the programming information to the controller. And at the same time, the history of credential use (also called audit trail) is uploaded to the PDA.
Go back to the computer and HOT SYNC again to load the audit trail from the PDA into the computer.
Now you can view history reports of who used which door or all the doors a person used. Other history is available such as programming changes, invalid card use, time zone violations and attempts to unlock doors not allowed.
Now you know how it's possible to have a computer software based system without wires. It's easy with jeff 2.0!
