- Software Managed Systems
A "Networked Access Control System" as opposed to a "Stand Alone System" means that you can have multiple doors all controlled and managed through an on-site computer.
Advantages include:
- Codes or cards can be issued to all doors from one control location.
- History or "audit trail" of card or code use can be kept and called up & printed when needed.
- Access levels can easily be set up to control what doors certain people have access to.
- Time zones can easily be set up to control when a card or code will work.
- Time zones can also be used to tell doors when they are to remain unlocked.
